傳院於12月的第二週邀請美國德州大學奧斯汀分校傳播學院新聞與媒體系 Renita Coleman 教授來訪，與同學們交流。她的研究主題多元，經常於國際頂尖傳播期刊發表研究成果，同時也是 Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly 副主編，是領域極具影響力的學者。
Coleman 教授此次將主講「論文與研究計畫發展工作坊」，提供同學一對一諮詢時段，並擔任 UAAT 學生研究獎助計畫首屆獲獎者指導老師。這些機會都非常難得，鼓勵同學務必把握。

Dr. Renita Coleman is a Professor in the School of Journalism and Media at the Moody College of Communication, University of Texas at Austin, and an Associate Editor of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly. Her research focuses on agenda-setting, race, visual communication, and media ethics, and she has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Journal of Communication, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media, Journal of Mass Media Ethics, and Journalism Studies. She is also widely recognized for her methodological expertise, particularly in experimental design and research ethics.
Dr. Coleman will offer individual consultation sessions on December 11 (sign up here), lead the “Thesis and Research Project Development Workshop” (register here), and mentor the first cohort of award recipients in the UAAT Student Research Fellowship Program (program information). These activities provide a valuable opportunity for our graduate students to receive direct guidance from a leading scholar.
