Chia-Wei Chen, an incoming master's student at the NCCU College of Communication, is building on her academic background in communication and her experience as a member of her university tennis team to explore the intersection of communication and the sports industry. This summer, she received a grant of NT$440,000 through the Ministry of Education's Youth Overseas Dream Program to participate in an exchange program in the United States.

The experience offered Chen a broader understanding of the diverse connections between sports, culture, entertainment, and communities. Looking ahead, she hopes to continue pursuing interdisciplinary learning in communication and translate her international experience into valuable perspectives for both academic research and professional practice. She also hopes to further explore opportunities for Taiwan's sports industry in content development, marketing, and international engagement.
